Integration

XpertOS for Slack

Send the results of XpertOS Flows, updates from your Xperts, and alerts straight to the Slack channels your team already works in.

You need an XpertOS account to add the app. Connecting a workspace is done by an XpertOS administrator who can also approve apps in your Slack workspace.

What it does

Flow results

Add a Slack step to a Flow and each run posts its output — a report, a summary, a table — to the channel you pick.

Xpert updates

Autonomous Xperts can post progress, finished work and requests for approval.

Alerts

Get notified in Slack when something needs your team's attention.

Set it up

  1. Choose Add to Slack and sign in to XpertOS.
  2. In Settings → Slack, choose Connect and approve the permissions for the Xpert Flows app in Slack.
  3. In Slack, open a channel, type /invite and choose Xpert Flows.
  4. In XpertOS, add a Slack step to a Flow, or pick the channel as an Xpert's destination.

To remove the app, disconnect it in Settings → Slack or remove it in your Slack workspace's app management.

Permissions it asks for

PermissionWhat it is used for
chat:writePosts messages — Flow results, Xpert updates and alerts — to channels the app has been added to.
channels:readLists public channel names so you can choose where messages go.
groups:readLists private channels the app has been invited to, so you can choose them as destinations.
im:readLists direct-message conversations with the app, so it can send you direct notifications.
users:readReads workspace member names, so messages can mention the right person.

The app does not read your channels' message history. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
